My two best friends growing up were Holly and Mandy. Happily, we all lived pretty close to each other, so it was easy to spend a lot of time together. We went on walks every day. Long, long walks for hours just talking and having fun.
One of our favorite things to do on our walks was to walk to the corner store (that now that I think of it was really quite a ways away!) and buy a carton of ice cream. We would use the microwave to soften it up a little and make it easier to eat, get three plastic spoons and head out. Then we'd walk home and eat the ice cream on the way. Warm, cold, rain, shine, snow... it didn't matter. Good times. :)
