It's like with pacifiers too. With the first one, when it fell on the floor we washed it. Second kid if it fell on the floor you stuck it in your own mouth to clean it off. Third kid, you wipe it on your pants to get it clean "enough" and call it good. Fourth kid? You just check to make sure there aren't any big chunks on it before you hand it back!
So true... I followed almost this exact progression with my kids! What does this mean for number 4? Does he have to fix his own meals? LOL
